Modern Makers Mission
Attract people to new and surprising experiences in unexpected environments and spaces
Bring residents and business owners together to cultivate a common bond through the arts
Events delight the senses. We make crazy ideas come to life- with light, sound and visuals. We allow visitors to traverse a new reality. Are you looking to design an event? Let us know your idea and we can help IMAGINE it and MAKE it real.
We engage multi-generational members, to strengthen the connection between community members. This empowers children and professionals to GROW together. The overlap of families, students and ‘creatives’ forms the foundation for meaningful and memorable experiences.
Participants MAKE something together, LEARN a skill and help to build community around shared learning experiences. From fiber to drawing our programming passes on skills for deep learning and practice. Have a workshop idea? Let us know.
We lead and design LEAD large scale art projects that require a team effort. From fiber murals, to neon installations. We have used thousands of materials. Interested in having us design something for you? Contact us.
Innovation is the foundation for our programming. From food to fashion, art to design, dancing to drawing, we engage and delight the senses in new and dynamic ways each month. Our participants are always surprised by cutting edge themes for each event.
Modern Makers offers unique monthly interactive events that engage multigenerational members, from children and adults. Participants MAKE something together, LEARN a skill and help to build community around shared learning experiences. We EXHIBIT work from local artists, designers and children, and LEAD large scale art projects that require a team effort. This empowers children and professionals to GROW together. The overlap of families, students and ‘creatives’ forms the foundation for meaningful and memorable experiences.
This programming year, we would like our drawing nights to have more attendees and build on different themes of drawing as research, while engaging the wider community. From drawing animals at the zoo, drawing CCM/ Cincinnati Ballet dancers movement, to full-scale drawing with your own moving body, we encourage people to explore drawing in many formats. Additionally we would like to offer instructional drawing workshops in pastel, watercolor and comic book storyboarding.
Goals for our monthly Modern Makers event include a wider attendance rating, providing art making supplies and food for events, exhibit more high quality artists, and collaborate with professional artists, chefs, dancers and creatives from Cincinnati and beyond.
